Trowel Trades Accessories LTD has been the standard of the stucco industry for more than 50 years. Ever since John Stremel (a plaster and stucco contractor) decided to put down his tools and start making stucco wire in 1964 under the name J.S. Bead. With one wire machine, one bead machine and his daughter Lois by his side taking care of the books, John set out making quality accessories for local contractors in Vancouver B.C.
By 1966 Lois had met and married Terry Palm and ten years later John, Terry and John Stremel Jr. formed a partnership in Trowel Trades Accessories Ltd. 1980 saw Trowel Trades expand to a second location in Kelowna B.C.
Soon after, John Sr. retired and by 1985 Terry and Lois Palm were the sole proprietors. Trowel Trades amalgamated to one location in Surrey B.C. and continued to grow their market share, shipping products throughout British Columbia and into Alberta.
In 1997, having worked at Trowel Trades off and on since he was a teenager, Terry and Lois’s youngest son Blair started working for Trowel Trades full time and is currently the general manager. Today Trowel Trades operates out of a 25000 square foot facility in Campbell Heights, Surrey B.C. where they continue to produce quality stucco accessories for the Western Canadian market. 100% Canadian and family owned for three generations.
